HackInFest2025 – Capture The Flag
The second edition of HackInFest concluded on November 8th at ITS Academy Apulia Digital at Fiera del Levante, the hackathon focused on urban security and smart mobility that attracted over 300 participants from across Italy, including industry professionals, university students, and high school students.
The event, spread over two intensive days, challenged participants with realistic urban security scenarios through the Urban Range, a simulated environment with devices and network systems reproducing a Mediterranean smart city under attack.
Teams had to apply their skills in web exploitation, reverse engineering, pwn, cryptography, forensics, and much more to solve complex challenges related to critical infrastructure.
The competition was divided into two categories: November 7th featured young talent in the Junior category, with teams composed primarily of university and high school students, while November 8th was dedicated to professionals in the Senior category.
